Introduced in Spring 2012 as our first serious travel bag, the M/S Explorer remains the most spacious weekender in the collection. Its starting point was disarmingly simple. We strapped a leather belt around a bag wrapped in a new army-green canvas and the mix felt honest, raw and right.
We kept the belt buckle as a way to close the bag tightly. The handles were reinforced with a wider underlay of leather for strength and a firmer hand. The rest we let stay quiet, apart from the leather grid at the base that stabilises the form and takes the wear. Simple at first glance, more considered up close, the M/S Explorer remains our go-to when adventure calls.
