The Large Book Case is designed to hold more - both practically and imaginatively. With its A4-sized interior, it offers generous space for documents, magazines, sketchbooks, and creative tools, as well as the objects that tend to migrate across desks and shelves. From papers and prints to letters, cables, and personal keepsakes, it brings order to the beautifully unordered.
Originally inspired by antique book cases used to protect one’s most valuable books, the design is August Sandgren’s most iconic. Scaled up, it carries the same thoughtful balance of form, function, and craftsmanship, offering storage that feels deliberate rather than hidden.
Clad in Mismo’s Ocean Jacquard, the design takes on a more expressive, contemporary character. Inspired by the rhythm and vigour of ocean waves, the pattern draws on Japanese textile traditions, woven in layered shades of ocean blue with off-white cotton wave motifs. Subtle leather details in soft, OekoTex-certified aniline leather from Sørensen Leather add a refined contrast. Durable, structured, and richly textured, it is made to be used, kept, and appreciated over time.

VAT discount
The price stated on www.mismo.dk is the full retail price including Danish VAT. The price does not include possible import taxes that may differ from country to country.
To compensate for these import charges, Mismo offers a 20% VAT discount at checkout for all our non-EU customers. This discount will automatically be applied when typing in a non-EU billing & delivery address.
The VAT discount that Mismo provides is more or less equivalent to the actual import taxes faced at delivery. The forwarding company, Fedex or DHL, will charge these import taxes.
Please note that any possible shipping cost, being standard or express service, do not include import costs that may be due when the package reaches the country of destination.

We offer free domestic (Denmark) shipping on all orders and free shipping within the EU on orders above €400. Free shipping is automatically applied at checkout when meeting the order minimum. Express shipping can be added at checkout. Shipping rates are otherwise as listed below:

Choosing express shipping will usually see orders delivered within 1-2 days in Europe and 2-3 days on International orders. Please note that some countries, remote cities, or islands may have longer delivery times.
Shipping times for standard service in Scandinavia are 1-3 business days, Europe 2-5 days and 4-7 days for North American, Asian orders. Please use our shipping times as a guide. Some countries may experience extended shipping times due to worldwide shipping congestions. Mismo takes no responsibility for delays in customs processes outside the EU. If you are in need of a time definite reception of you order, we strongly advise to opt for the Express shipping.
Order before 14:00 CET for same-day shipping. Once shipped, we will email a shipping confirmation including a link and tracking number, for you to easily follow the order.
Returns
We gladly accept returns, but return expenses are paid for by the customer. You have 30 days to return the item(s) from the date of receipt. Simply fill out a return form and our support team will reach out to you. You can either choose to return the order/item using your own preferred forwarder, or you can purchase a return label through our support team.

Ocean Jacquard
If Neptune would weave, we imagine this would be his canvas. The Ocean Jacquard is a celebration of the ocean’s waves and vigour, an expressive testimony to the sea that embraces the land we live and provides us with open horizons and energetic recreation. The base weaving of the jacquard is kept in two shades of ocean blue with waves motifs, large and small, in off-white cotton, all complementing the cold tones of the black leather and silver-dark gunmetal accessories. After all, it usually is a cold experience diving into the waters up here North. The composition includes cotton yarn and recyckled polyester for both tactility and durability.
