Designed for everyday use, the pieces integrate naturally into the home - on a desk, a bedside table or in a living space. Practical in purpose, precise in execution.
Founded in Copenhagen in 1920, August Sandgren’s background in bookbinding informs the construction and precision behind each object - a tradition that aligns closely with MISMO’s commitment to durability and material integrity.
The pieces are introduced in carefully considered quantities, with an ongoing commitment to continued production.
Originally inspired by antique book cases used to protect one’s most valuable volumes, the Book Case is one of August Sandgren’s most iconic designs. Offered in two sizes - Large and Medium - each reflects a careful balance of form, function and craftsmanship, providing storage that feels intentional rather than concealed.
Clad in selected MISMO signature jacquards, the design takes on a contemporary character while maintaining its architectural clarity and enduring construction.
Designed to hold and protect up to three watches, the Watch Case is created for the considered collector. Compact in size yet purposeful in construction, it offers a secure and elegant resting place for timepieces that deserve care.
Originally developed with esteemed watch connoisseur and long-time friend of the house Kristian Haagen, the design reflects a shared appreciation for craftsmanship and precision. A non-magnetic closure ensures no interference with delicate mechanical movements, while the interior is lined in soft, aniline leather to cushion each watch in place.
Clad in MISMO’s Into the Deep jacquard and finished with black leather details, the piece is structured, tactile and made to endure.
Designed to keep your most precious belongings carefully stored and beautifully organised, the Jewel Case offers a compact and considered solution for jewellery worn often - from rings and earrings to smaller personal pieces, kept close at hand and gently protected.
Inspired by August Sandgren’s iconic storage boxes, the design carries forward the same balance of form, function and craftsmanship in a more intimate format. A fitted ring inlay ensures secure organisation, while discreet magnets keep the lid softly closed.
Finished in MISMO’s A Lovely Land jacquard and complemented by Oeko-Tex® certified aniline leather, the case combines tactile textile with refined durability. Made in Portugal, shaped by tradition and a careful hand.
