Material focus: Øresund Canvas September 23 2016
The Øresund canvas is named after the strait that forms the water borders between Denmark and Sweden. The coming of autumn gives the water a distinct greenish hue, perfectly captured this AW16 seasonal fabric
Shown below is the three tone M/S Backpack - City Noir/Triple, with the bottom made out of Øresund canvas, the middle part in Overcast coated canvas and the top flap and back in our classic Black heavy-duty nylon.
The Øresund canvas is a sturdy blended cotton/nylon fabric with our default water repellency treatment and comes paired with vegetable tanned black bridle leather and gun-metal accessories. The cold green tone is oozing urban elegance and clean-cut design.
Being a blended nylon and cotton fabric it offers the tactility of the cotton and the durability of the nylon. A closer look at the fabric reveals the fine-drawn detailing of the matt cotton and the shiny nylon yarn giving the fabric a delicate silk matt overall impression.
It's a material that adds the inspiration of nature to the Nordic Noir collection, with the water ever present in the Copenhagen city landscape.
